You're not broken.
You're misaligned.
Most high-performing, mission-driven people — leaders, founders, execs — aren't underperforming because something's wrong with them. They're operating below potential because somewhere along the way they drifted from how they're actually wired, and that drift — not a lack of discipline or talent — is what's draining them.
THE STORY BEHIND THE MESSAGE
This work wasn't built in theory.
It was built through experience.
Gaia Broda is a keynote speaker, advisor, and host of Beyond Meds — a podcast with nearly 5,000 subscribers challenging conventional thinking around performance, leadership, and human potential. Her work sits at the intersection of biology, self-awareness, and personal agency, and she brings that lens directly to the leaders in your room.

There's a version of this story that starts with credentials. This isn't that version.

It starts with me sitting at my desk, mascara running down my face, genuinely ready to work — and completely unable to.

Not because I lacked ambition. Not because I didn't care. I had carved out three uninterrupted hours to build the business I was excited about, and instead I was crying tears of frustration, anger, and something that felt a lot like hopelessness. I had tried everything. I was still in the same place. And the question quietly eating at me was: what is wrong with me?

I'd already left corporate — where I looked like I had it all together and was privately falling apart. Constant stomachaches. Insomnia. A backache that never left. I was working two or three times harder than everyone around me just to keep up. So I walked away, built my own thing, set my own schedule. And I still couldn't hold it.

That afternoon, I remembered a conversation with a friend who'd suggested I get assessed for ADHD. I hadn't thought much of it at the time. In that moment, it felt worth exploring.

The results were unambiguous. And that was the beginning of everything.
Not because the diagnosis fixed anything — but because it was the first invitation to stop trying to operate like everyone else and start understanding how I actually worked. I chose to navigate it medication-free, which meant I had to go deeper: into biology, into nervous system regulation, into the patterns underneath the productivity failures. What I found changed everything — not just for me, but for every high-performing, fast-minded leader I've worked with since.

The problem was never the ADHD. It was the misalignment.
That's what I bring to every stage I stand on. Not a framework for managing yourself better — an invitation to stop managing altogether, and start leading from who you actually are.

What I create on stage is what I spent years looking for myself — the feeling of being seen at a level you didn't know existed. Not another framework to implement. A conversation that answers the questions you didn't know how to ask.

Who this is for?
If you've done the work, built the habits, implemented the systems — and you're still burning out every few months — this is for you. You don't have a discipline problem. You have an alignment problem. And the fastest, most defensible thing you can build right now isn't a better strategy. It's a clearer understanding of your own wiring.
I work with mission-driven leaders, founders, and organizations who are ready to stop performing a version of themselves and start building from what's irreplaceable in them.
